Our tea bar Chao Da, Yekaterinburg

Chao Da: from drawing to a working business

Our own tea bar went through the same path as your project: a design project, 44 sheets of working drawings, custom furniture and launch. Now we run it every day: we choose teas, brew for guests and train the team.

The counter tops are made of solid live-edge elm (karagach) slabs: 4.1 m long, 80 mm thick. This is what the material looked like before processing.

We teach your team to feel the tea

A tea room works only when the team can brew tea and talk about it. We train staff in practice: tastings, brewing, the ceremony and welcoming guests.

  1. I
    Teas and tasting

Learning to tell teas apart by aroma and taste, to recommend them to guests with confidence.

  2. II
    Brewing and ceremony

Water, time, teaware and the order of the ceremony — until the hand is confident.

  3. III
    Welcoming guests

How to offer tea, talk about a tea and hold a pause.

After launch we run workshops and tea sessions for employees.

Visit Chao Da with a partner or your team

We will hold a meeting at the tea table: the easiest way to feel how a tea room works in negotiations and in service.

Yekaterinburg, Lenina 25, Europa shopping centre, level −1. For Georgia and Europe we start with a video call.

Questions

How is the work paid?

Packages for offices and salons are paid in full in advance under contract. Projects for restaurants, SPAs, hotels and teahouses are paid in three stages: 20% at the start, 40% at production and sourcing, 40% at installation and launch.

Who will brew the tea?

Your staff: we train the team to brew tea and welcome guests. After launch we can run workshops and tea sessions for employees.

Will you help with tea after launch?

Yes. We choose teas, supply them and refresh the assortment.

Do we need a separate room?

Not necessarily. A tea zone can be built into a meeting room, a waiting area or a hall — at the first meeting we look at the space and suggest a format.

Can we start small?

Yes. A salon can start with tea and teaware selection — from €370, and later add staff training and a designed tea zone.

Which countries do you work in?

Russia, Georgia and Europe. In Yekaterinburg the first meeting is at Chao Da; for Georgia and Europe we start with a video call, then meet on site.
